Registration for State Champs is CLOSED 〰️

We are so excited to bring the whole league together for State Champs in Prineville this year! Below are the guidelines, registration, and points system info to look over.

GUIDELINES TO QUALIFY:

  • Student-athletes must start at least 3 races. In the event a race is canceled, students will need to start at least 2 races.

  • All seniors can compete in State Champs (meaning they don’t need to start the minimum amount of races).

REGISTRATION
Qualified student-athletes must register for State Champs in the Pit Zone from Oct 1-15. The fee is $40. There is no on-site registration for State Champs. We will offer refunds for State Champs until 7pm on Oct 17. After that there will be no refunds. Do not register unless you are qualified. After the Newport Gnarnia weekend (Oct 5-6), we will share the list of qualified riders on this site and also email it to Head Coaches and Team Directors.

CALL-UPS
We’ll post call-ups on Thursday 10/18. Call-ups will be listed for each field in order or points accrued through the season.

POINTS SYSTEM

  • Qualified student-athletes from both North and South Conferences will race together on one day. Call-ups will be based on the overall points each student has collected throughout the season.

  • The State Champs race is a standalone race - not part of the series leading up to it. Overall series winners for North and South Conferences will be determined after the Newport Gnarnia weekend and will be awarded at podiums at that event. Points earned in the series will only count towards call-ups for State Champs.

  • Student-athletes who compete in every race available to them will earn 25 points (Season Bonus Points) extra for their overall points. Season Bonus Points are awarded to individuals following the calculation of overall series points after the final race in Madras before State Champs. Season Bonus Points are not added to points scored in the final race nor are they added into the team score. If a race is cancelled, it will not count as a season race and Season Bonus Points shall still be awarded if all other season races are completed. In the event a student does not complete a race due to a mechanical, crash, illness, or other similar circumstances out of his or her control, that is considered an incomplete and no Season Bonus Points will be awarded. Rule 6.11.E.1-3

  • If a student-athlete participates in at least 4 races, the lowest score or a missed race will be dropped.

  • Leader’s Jersey - Students who won the overall series will wear the leader’s jersey at State Champs.
