  • GRiT @ Rivers Edge Trails 301 Cummings Drive Brunswick, MD, 21716 United States (map)

And in a blink the race season is coming to an end! Romp at Rivers Edge is just around the corner. We are planning lots of fun activities at the GRiT tent to celebrate the season.

The GRiT mission is to build and nurture a community of female riders.

All riders are encouraged to invite friends to attend any GRiT event. We have loaner bikes and helmets for anyone who wishes to try it out!

Event Timeline

Kindness Rock Scavenger Hunt
At the last race many kindness rocks were created - and some of them now are worth a prize! Hidden around the Rivers Edge course are 5 prize-winning Kindness Rocks. If you find one, bring it back to the GRiT tent to claim your prize! All student athletes (boys and girls) can participate in this activity!

1:30 - Check-In
Come to the GRiT Tent and check in for the GRiT pre-ride.

1:45 - Pre-Ride Line Up and Bike Check
Once you have checked in at the GRiT tent, grab your bike (with race plate!), helmet, and water and meet behind the GRiT Tent.

2:00 - 3:00 - GRiT Pre-Ride
Preview the course with other female MICL riders. Riders are encouraged to bring a friend to try it out!

All riders must have a race plate on their bike to pre-ride!

We will be leaving promptly at 2:00!

3:30 - 4:30 - Poster Making
We have tons of poster board, markers, and paint. Let's create posters to line the race route to give words of encouragement and support!

Sunday, October 20

10:00 - 2:00 - Italian Soda Bar - The Sequel
This time EVERYONE is encouraged to come by and try out some of the fancy drinks that were so popular at Fairhill! The bar will be open so that everyone can enjoy a fancy drink after their race!

10:45 - 11:45 - Bike Chain Jewelry with Sydney
GRiT Ambassador Sydney Kaetzel is eager to show everyone how to create some bike chain jewelry. We will have everything you need to create a unique item to take home as a souvenir of the season.

12:15 - 1:15 - A Note of Thanks
After many months of practices and races, our season comes to an end. What a better way to wrap up the season than with a thank you? We have cards and lots of colored pens for you to write a note or two of thanks to the special people who helped you this season!
